Zahra i Maria upoznale su se na sveučilištu u Bukureštu 1970-ih. Kad nada u političke promjene odvede Zahru kući u Iran, prisiljene su se razdvojiti. Cijelo naredno desetljeće, sve do revolucije u Rumunjskoj 1989., njihov jedini način komuniciranja bila su pisma. Podijeljene dvjema revolucijama, njihove riječi otkrivaju žene koje se bore da ih se čuje, zemlje koje se kreću u različitim smjerovima i dvije duše ujedinjene u čežnji jedne za drugom.

Zahra and Maria meet at university in Bucharest in the 1970s. When the hope of political change draws Zahra home to Iran they are forced apart. For the next decade their only way to communicate is through letters. Divided by two revolutions, their words describe women struggling to be heard, countries moving in different directions, and two souls united in their longing for each other.
